Made in London, England

The English bentside spinet or wing spinet became the domestic harpsichord of the late 17th century and through the 18th century with the longest side being less than 2 meters and almost parallel to the keyboard which would protrude from the longside no more than 74cm.

Joseph Mahoon was an 18th century London based maker of harpsichords and spinets appointed "To His Majesty 1739"

Our instrument is based on an original Mahoon c1748 which we had in our workshops in the late 1950's.
